Bubba, this year I switched my cumberland 360s to millenium T bars, they are a set up although i liked the cumberland too
Yeah, we used to fish up that way quite a bit, too. We just don't make that run very often, anymore.
Are you in between Chowning & Van Buren or Chowning and the "horseshoe bend" when you say "up the river" ??
You getting any Hybrids wanting to play ?? We haven't caught any in our two trips this year, even on banks we fish that are known haunts for them.

Pappy, I've only made it up to Chowning so far. Had some good luck up there during the spawn. I'm gonna start fishing no wake zones from now till Labor Day.
We haven't had any hybrids wanting to play yet. Just drums and cats. Couple years ago I caught a striper while spider rigging. That was a blast. Sissy also snagged a grass carp once.
The secret to fishing? Fish where the fish are.
Excellent report and much appreciated. I think the wife and I headed over there for at least a few hours tomorrow. (Yep, not my usual style, but the wife will only go for a few hours... not all day from dawn to dark - take what you can get when she wants to go though).
