TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH! That was the buzz word Saturday at the weigh in as the Twin Lakes Crappie club gathered for the September open tournament. As reflected in the weighs, big fish were few and far between. With the TVA pulling water out of the Lakes in preparation for Hurricane Irma the big fish bite nearly shut off completely. The team of Danny & Sammy were able to put together the winning weight anchored by a 2.26 KY Lake Giant, especially for this time of year! Second place was the team of Tony & Mike Sheppard. They were able to take advantage of a solid 1 3/4 fish that propelled them to a great finish. We had an incredible turnout with 16 boats! The more boats, the larger the payout! Our next tournament is October 7th, just before the off limit period for the Crappie USA classic, and will be held between the US 68/80 bridge in Kentucky and the HWY 79 bridge in Tennessee, the weigh in will be at the wildcat boat ramp in Blood River.
