Thumbs up Taylorsville Easter Crappie ... *Report*

Got to T-ville about 11AM ... started fishing out away from the banks, as per Johnny Miller's previous report indicated. Bounced the first fish off the side of the boat & lost it (it was heavier than I anticipated ) and then missed the next three hits from not realizing I was getting bit (no thump, just a slight tension in the line).

Pulled myself together and got down to business. Limited out around 4PM, with a mixed bag of 10-12" Blacks/Whites, males/females. Water temps ranged from 55.4 to 58.9 degrees. Fish caught 5-6ft deep over 10-15fow.
All fish caught on Char/Pink/Char Crappie Thunder Roadrunner & a solid Pink marabou Roadrunner (custom made by Skiptomylou).

Too busy fishing and fighting the wind to take pics on the water, but did snap these during cleaning :

Biggest Crappie I've caught from Taylorsville Lake, yet !!

Had a few throwbacks, as I laid them on the Golden Rule and if they didn't measure 9.5" without pinching the tail ... they went free !!

Many thanks to Johnny Miller for the previous report on water/fish depths, and Skip for making my "Pinky" RR's !!

Nice report CP, glad you had a great Easter fishing. Was planning a trip to Tville tomorrow, but given the way it is rising from Sunday night storms, heading to Green in the morning. Just hope the COE continues to hold Green and not start pulling again, hopefully they got there ramp repairs done.

Thanks, Bob ... I'm gonna try'em again, tomorrow. I don't think a foot or so rise is gonna mess with them too much, since they aren't really "bedding" right now anyway. I didn't check the stomach contents of those I cleaned, but I really didn't have to ... my jeans told the tale after taking a hit from some Shad remains, while I was unhooking one of the fish
I figure they're still in the pre-spawn feeding mode, and the water temps haven't stabilized above 62deg yet, so these cool/warm/cool/warm yo-yoing daily temps are likely to prolong that mode for a while longer. I hope so, anyway !!

I'll be heading to Green in a couple of weeks, anyway, for the Spring Fling .... so I'm hitting T-ville while the "traffic" isn't so bad.
