I agree. I've been hearing from some of the contestants and they are having a tough time figuring KY Lake out right now. Lots of very small keepers won't do it. It's going to take a limit each day with several kicker fish over 1.5 pounds.

Yeah there are quite a few fish around 1.5 right now and a lesser number around 1.9-2lbs. Somebody should end up at 11-11.5lbs each day out of all the boats fishing but it will be challenging to do it two days in a row.

Last Saturday as I was pulling our boat around to the ramp after our local tournament win, a guy pulled his boat along side and asked if we were fishing the Crappie Masters next weekend. I told him this was our 1st tournament and he said we should be fishing more. He and his partner are fishing Crappie Masters today but didn't weigh any keepers Sat. I guess it being our home lake has everything to do with it.

I've been getting all kinds of calls, e-mails and PMs from members here and some who aren't who are fishing the tourney. Pretty much to a man, they are struggling to find any kicker fish, I gave them all the general info I possibly could that SHOULD help them catch some good fish.

Best of luck to all of them.

23 and change. Good fish, good fisherman and good electronics, somebody will be on them no doubt.

    And that's why I predicted 19 pounds.
