I still have yet to be down to T-Ville. I have the time Wednesday and this Saturday to go but with the high water conditions and the amount of water they are pulling I am staying put I believe. I might head to Rough or Nolin if anyone has heard anything good there. I'm guessing there is still a lot of debri in the water at T-Ville and long line trolling and debri don't work well together.

By the way my trip to Weiss already filled the freezer. My buddy and I brought back 52 quart size bags of crappie so I have enough for the year for the wife and I. Now I'm catching crappie for fish fry parties. I love fishing around KY but I'm never giving up my Alabama trip. Once I retire you will be able to find me on Weiss the month of March and KY Lake the month of April. After that I will be at home trying to salvage my marriage after being gone for two months.

Taylorsville Lake is currently about 20ft above Summer Pool and still rising. At this level it is highly unlikely that any ramp is accessible, with the exception of Possum Ridge. I would also tend to think that the lake would be trashy from the rising waters picking up wood/trash from the banks where it had been deposited from the prior floods of March/April.

I would also tend to think that, given the conditions of the downstream bodies of water, that it will be some time before the lake is back to normal levels. Even if they could open the gates and drop the lake a foot a day, it's going to be a couple of weeks minimum before it stabilizes ... and that's AFTER they get the nod to start dropping the lake and at that rate. And, of course, there's also the possibility of more rains in the mean time, which would slow that process.

I have fished tville 24ft above summer before and I was able to access through possum ridge. The Coe office will tell you if you call. Please share how you do Wednesday. I have never fished crappie with it up this high before. Curious as to if and how you catch em. Best of luck.

I've heard the same as what slabdaddy has said and also possum ridge is the only place that you might get in, the rest are under water.

Fished this mornin for about three hours before work. Settlers trace ramp was open. 47 degree water at ramp. Headed back to the creek and hit about 50 degrees. Water was muddy. Not chocolate milk but muddy. Tried brush at 15-18 fow. Nothin. Began long linin road runners about 10 ft in 18-20 fow and hit about 10 short fish. Some other boats were up the creek fishin minners under corks and I never saw them bring in the first fish. Water hit 53 by the time we left at 10:30. Fish that were caught were on June bug colored Charlie brewer 2" slider.

I am sure this rain has Salt River way up, but I was wondering if anyone had heard if the white bass are running yet? My son always likes to walk along the banks throwing rooster tails, alot of fun.

From the looks of this chart, I'd say putting a boat in would be useless. IF, by some stretch of the imagination, the fish have come up with the rising water ... you'd probably be better off walking the bank and fishing around the flooded live trees. IMHO

Does anyone know a ramp that you can launch a boat on right now? 27ft above summer pool, settlers trace is shut down. That is where I typically launch from.
Has anyone been on the water lately? I am trying to get out there tomorrow.
