    Default What kind of carp is spawning now? Common Carp?


    Was fishing Barkley the last two days and noticed huge carp looking fish making quite a stir in what looked to be their nests. They chased out at my boat too, I was stunned. Maybe Asian Carp?

    common carp are spawning and splashing all over the shallows now.

    If they are throwing water up in the shallows like a bass after an easy meal, it's probably a regular old carp.
