Default My trip to Cedar Creek lake

We went Saturday, Nice day to be out but I couldn't find the bite anywhere. We tried lots of areas and depths. Even different techniques. Just couldn't do it. I did see Tigerbait's post, looks like they are there. I just gotta find them.

I did manage two nice trout and one 9" crappie. And as always, had a good time trying.

Thanks for the reminder. I do have mine for just such circumstances. I never really fish for them but they were fun to catch and as well as I remember, they eat pretty good too.

Yes, they are quite tasty. I've been catching some from the local park lake, here in Lex.
They are stocker fish, so their flavor is extremely mild compared to the wild variety. They range in size from 8-11" in this lake, and will bite on a variety of baits. I've caught them, or seen them caught, on worms, Crappie Nibbles & other "powerbait" varieties, corn, spinners, and even Chicken Livers !!
