The fish haven't really gotten started yet so I would imagine that the lake jumping up like it is supposed to will make it even tougher.
I think that I would watch the water and wait if I were in your situation.
i was thinking about running down to ky lake late next week to try redear and gill fishing, did it 3 years ago and it was nuts, one after another. with the weather and water being so crazy i was wondering what your thoughts are, it costs several hundred dollars between gas and lodging to go was just wondering if too early or just not a good time. thanks!

do you think the ramps will be usable with the predicted high water???
ramps will be usable but bring your hip waders. Redears have started but this water stuff is crazy. The last week I have caught a few and I have seen a bucketful of BIG redears.

We'll be there next week, the high water didn't stop us last year, we just had to make a few adjustments. Be careful of the birdbaths and rosebushes when your fishing in the yards.
did you fish the same places you normally did when you went last year?

We fished the shore, had to manuver between the trees and fish on the lawns. Should be alot of catfish around too.
