Default Southern Pro Help/KY lake report

    Hi Guys,

I am newly registered to the forum but have been reading for about a year two years now.

I have a question about Southern Pro Jigs. I usually troll or long line, at KY lake during spawn, and cast, somtimes with bobbers at the lake that is close to me. I was told the Southern Pro Jigs are worth getting, but was wanting to know yalls opinion about (1) what type (hot grub, triple tips, crappie stinger, etc.) and (2) what color have been productive for you all. I am going to purchase some, but I thought I would get opionions first. Do you also have recommedations on where to buy from?

Going back to KY lake April 16-18. Hope it is not too late ?.?

Side note: Went today and it was very windy. Front coming through, but next weeks weather looks better. Had 27 keepers mostly in 8-10 range in the Big Sandy Area with the best color (for me) was the "electric chicken". While mostly everybody was grumbling about the bad wind, in strolls 3 guys with 90 fish at about 2 pm. I started asking questions, and luckily these guys were willing to tell about how they fished. The are drifters and loved the wind. They fished off one side of the boat and drifted - very successful today. Don't know much about trolling (but I try to do it), know nothing about spider rigging, and less than that about drifting (possibly similar to spider rigging except drifting). Ahhh, anyway, I plan on reading more about all the types to be more prepared for different situation out on the lake.

Sorry I talked your ear off, but I will be around.

    Good fishin

I love the Southern Pro Hot grubs. So far been using them in dingy to muddy water, the ones with chartreuse tails been working real good. I use mind for Spider Rigging and bought them at Grizzly Jig Company, their price is also $3.99 per 50 count and they are a sponsor for Crappie.com.
