I have 4 11ft bucks graphite jig poles. I dont have all one type reel on them all. I like my shimano 100 ax's i belleive they are the best. I have two of those, and a shimano sedona and spirex 200. I like the smaller reels for the jig poles, like the 100 vs's the 200's. Makes the pole lighter. At first I mixed and matched but starting to get them all the same. I like the poles, I snapped one a coulple weeks to a month after getting it and they gave me a brand new one, no questions asked.

If you didn't want a honest to goodness functioning reel, I bough a few miniature baitcasting type reel made for jig poles for $11 at Gander Mt.

Thanks for the info. I checked out the swap-meet section and I ordered from Doc Crappie...he has some simple reels and I think that they will work just fine. If any of you need some of these simple reels, I don't think you can beat the price and shipping is very reasonable...I ordered myself 5. If they work, and I think they will, then it's a good deal...if they don't....well I spent money on worse things!!!!
