    Smile Filet-O-Fish Sandwich...

I had an opportunity to hit the lake yesterday morning and fish with another kayaker that I had just met. We had a great time even though the fishing was a little (OK, a lot), slower than I had hoped and the wind didn't help any. We both caught three each, but nothing really of any bragging size. My new friend caught a nice eating size catfish that he photographed, but my keepers (a bluegill and bass) were not worthy of documenting the moment.

They did however make it home with me and after cleaning them they provided barely enough meat for two filet-O-Fish sandwiches. I should have been embarrassed to even bring home those two fish... but without photos, you can't prove it in a court-of-law! So I suppose I'll get over my shame and embarrassment when I sink my teeth into those delicious delights. It's just ashamed there isn't enough for the rest of the family! :-)

Any day you can bring home fillets is a good day.

Yep.... a day fishing can always be rewritten as a day of "catch and release" or better yet, "testing out some gear"! Who's to say, "training"; "operational development" sounds techno-fancy. LOL Maybe even "procedural investigation".

"Investigative Procedural Development" ... Yea, yea... I like that FliTrap, it's still a shame that my petite fish were not much thicker than the slice of cheese that was hiding them on the bun though... (but let's keep that between us!)
