    Found this in the camping section of Walmart. 2mm to 5mm. Should work great as a quick release for my anchor line.

    That looks like a keeper! I like that it clips on too! You could either leave it clipped on place or store it away by clipping it on the inside of the milk crate storage. my plan is to put anchor, rope and float in there as well to keep it in order.

    I think I like the one you found better than the Nite Ize Figure 9 that I've been using. It looks like your anchor will be more secure, but still easily releasable in an emergency. Let us know how it works out!
