Good shellcracker! I've been going the other way seeing how little I can get away with.
One of those days when I took too much. Crappie rod, bass rod, bluegill rod and catfish rod. Still a decent day. Homemade stake out pole worked great.

Is there really a size limit on shellcrackers? It's never too much if you can work around it. Glad you got out and caught something.

Nice day to be out. That's a chunk right there
Where about did you fish? looking like a nice place to pull in and set gear up before launching! Hoping new boat is in this weekend. If I can, will paddle on a fun float Saturday then look to put together a bit of a schedule to fish for the rest of the May, June and July.
Keep at it.... My new boat or old, I'll be on water to fish after next weekend (20-21) as that's a family gathering around here and wife said I will be there...LOL.
Keep a line wet!

I fish for food, that pretty well dictates what I take when I fish.I usually take 6 poles, every 2 poles are set up for different techniques and species. It does take some planning and DIY builds to make it all work, especially fishing from a kayak,I think I readjust and change something pretty much every time I fish, but to me it's part of the enjoyment.
East Fork lake in Olney,Illinois by map looks interesting... Looks like a lot of shore line wood-fall structure. Limited access... is it a 10 HP, 10 MPH lake?
One boat launch and a sailboat launch where I put in
