Nice Views on the equipment! The vote is still out as to if I add fish detector to my new yak. Have fished the last three years without one and done well. (Yes, I know.... they are useful!) As for fishing, today:
Out for about 4-hours and was set up nice on what I call a "pig pen", in that when they built this lake they built a log crib in the shape of a triangle, sides being about 35' long and from what i can figure without electronics, was built three nice size logs high, in about 18' of water. Top of logs are about 4-5 feet down in most places though there are some spots that you have about 3' (Those are spots that a lot of my jigs are on display!) Not all too sure whats in the middle, likely a few logs and limb wood.

As water clarity is only about 2', some would wonder how I know all of this (few do, on this lake as I have only seen few others ever fish it half way right and they saw me there at other times!). I have used a 1-lb lead weight on 1/8 inch cord and "dipped sounded" the whole area. Amazing what you can feel that way!
So today, I felt good catching 9-black crappie, one bluegill and a small bass, fly fishing the area. Guess I'll need to trip out with someone with good electronics and study their use, before dropping more bills on equipment!

FT I know what ya mean about the jigs on display, left a few on that tree today. I enjoy running a FF and part of the fun while I'm on the water. But even with a FF today you still had me beat LOL... Mine had lockjaw.

Tom, read my post from today on the FL forum. I used the BG itty bitty swimmers for the first time today when the bite shut off and doubled our catch. Studs too. I'm thinkin that you might keep a few with you for when you find something like you did here and maybe get one or two and identify what they are. Those are some great screen shots.
