    Default Anchor tie off

so today I installed an anchor trolly. My question is what method do you use to tie of the line to the ring? I have 50' of cord.

I use a carabiner style clip to attach the rig. Easy to detach and get back to (floats), Ill go take some shots of the rig I use and get back.

I could find that no matter how hard you tried to hide it.

So basically friction around to carbiner is all that keeps it from unrolling further?

you got it.. weight was clearance for $2 (we can see why), cord and carabiner was another few bucks. Other items I already had at the house. The bungee that goes through the PVC is one of those tarp quick tie downs. The black ball at the end keeps it from going through the PVC

I have a Yak Attack Sidewinder anchor rope and wrap reel along with Yak Attack anchor trolley and lever lock. I have a buoy on the anchor line as well and a zig-zag cleat next to my seat. I do not anchor a lot, but what I do at the moment is drop anchor to lake floor and pull a loop of anchor line (while it has some slack in it) through the trolley ring and secure the loop onto the zig-zag cleat. I am thinking about replacing the solid ring on my anchor trolley with a carabiner so I can put the anchor line through it's spring loaded opening and then to my zig-zag cleat, without having to loop it. This way I won't have to run an anchor line loop through a non-openable metal loop on the anchor trolley.

I use a rig kind of like slabback's system. To directly answer your question, the line (the green paracord in the photo below) attaches to my yak by threading through the trolley ring and then tying off to a quick-release carabiner that's attached to the side handle of my yak. I can quickly detach from the anchor by simply pulling on the tag end of the anchor line. There's a float and an anchor line spool in the system too.

It's all explained in excruciating detail on my website: Yak Flak - A Kayak Fishing Blog: Staying Put - My Anchoring System

I use a retractable dog leash that clips to my seat, then runs through the ring on the trolley.
