Former Kayak fisherman here. Might get back into it.

What at kayak are folks here running? I have a bad back and some balance issues, I'd need a very stable kayak with a good frame type seat. I was in Academy the other day and they had a couple that caught my eye, especially the Pelican Catch 120. Looks like a good rig for about $750.

I have a pelican 116 or 114 that set up similar to the 120. They will run in some skinny water but its not the most stable. I understand the back issues as well. I fabbed a seat for mine that gets me off the floor of the yak and offers some back support. Its helped a good bit. For not much more than 750 you could pick out a Jackson kayak that is by far the best fishing kayak that Ive ever owned.

Take a look at the Wilderness Rides. I have a bad back also and this is a very stable kayak.
