    Default Sealing transducer cable hole

For Fathers Day I got a Lowrance FF for my sit on top kayak. I think for now I will mount the transducer to shoot through the hull. I'm looking for ideas to seal the large hole needed to get the plug end of the transducer through the kayak. I'm sure silicone will work, just looking for a better solution.

    Thanks
    Mark

I use hobie grommets. Just Google them. They have multiple sizes and fittings. Work great and easy to install as long as you can reach the back access area where you're drilling.

I have mine mounted on a hinged bracket that allows me to flip it up out of the way so it doesn't get damage when launching and loading. No way i would drill a hole in the hull.

I don't think he's talking about the transducer mount, but the cables coming thru on the top end
