Thanks Bobo - I have had lots of fun with this little boat. It gets me around fine on all the "no wake" lakes we have in my area (Omaha NE). I have it set up to pretty much fish for any speices, bass, crappie, walleyes, cats you name it.
Bomber,
If I had that set up. I doubt I would take the jon boat out very often.
Very nice rig,
Bobo

Lots of great ideas on this post- thanks. My question is has anyone ever tried to put a drain plug in a Bass Raider? Mine has to sit outside and even tarped it always seems I end up with water in it. Has anyone ever drilled and mounted a drain plug? If so what type of glue will this plastic handle?

Just looked at my Bass Raider 10 and I believe I can use a hole saw and install a thru-hull fitting in the floor in the back next to the transom. Since the bottom of the floor is not in the water the hole in fitting won't need to be plugged. Thanks for asking this question. Would not have thought of it without the nudge.
I put drains in several of those boats , use a drill that use's a step up bit and make a tight hole for a 5/8 plug and seal it top and bottom. no problems
I had the same idea and found the flat area. This will work just need a good seal on each side si the water does not get into foam filled sections.
