    I have mine mounted on pvc tubes three feet high no worries about lights they stay dry and not bothered by ice. One of the better things I have done/

    I like the idea on the lights but don't forget the transducer. I broke the frame on mine last year.

    Good call jigfserx. The most important part of my boat ; HD DI, SI Transducer. I used to have a shoot thru hull one. I guess my icebreaking day are over....

    When we were there I think it was Jan. 12th the East side was no ice but the boat ramp and dock was totally iced over around 1-1/2" thick. Boat ramp is shallow water and launching some big boats may be a problem.
