    Default Clinton docks

Well I know it's not like going out in the boat and finding fish with your electronics but I do enjoy dock fishing especially with the size of the crappie this winter. Lots of 12+ fish and quite a few limits are being taken, of course it usually takes awhile and you've got to fish alot of slips.....today I walked 2.7 miles and I'm feelin it now. I used a blue swedish pimple, a chart/white 1/32 oz. maribou jig and a bobby garland shad in the gold and white color. The pimple caught them off the bottom and the other baits were used for pitching alongside the slips with about 7ft. of line...the deep fish were in 22-23 fow.....don't know if any of this will relate to lake fishing. Not to be contrary, but that looks like a beautiful Clinton sunrise to me.

Hey PurpleCrappie I use 4# P-line floreclear.... to fish the docks at Clinton you have to be a slip renter or join the Clinton fishing club which is $300 a year....sounds like alot but it allows me to fish when it's too windy, rainey etc. and you can usually always catch something plus I've got to meet some really good fisherman.

Melvern has a really nice heated dock. Cost 6 bucks a day 7am to 5pm. You can fish the entire dock slips and all. Inside is nice and warm. So far not much catchin most of the time but some days are better than others.
