You asked what the most important was. Show me where in any of these threads where I said you had to have the best and most expensive of anything. Your most important is last on the list for most. No one wakes up and goes fishing with the thought of "well I;m going fishing but I ain't going to catch any". That may happen but it is not in very many peoples thought process when going. How do you know which day to go if catching is the most important? You have never went and not met your expectations on every single outing? Were you upset or angry cause you didn't meet your expectations or was it possible you still enjoyed the outing? I don't feel sorry for you but not all see your way as most important, If that works for you then that's okay too.

You go because you like to fish, that includes being outdoors enjoying Gods creations. You like to fish because you like the thump and the fish on the line. That is joy. Also joy in seeing a Bald Eagle soaring over head sun showing the White head or the Osprey diving and catching a fish. Watching the big white Pelicans soar. Watching a gaggle of Canada Geese fly honking over your head. Seeing turkeys and deer on the shore. Or enjoying your partner catch a nice fish. My most enjoyment is watching my son catch a fish which we do not do enough of. Waiting for my Grandson to expand my joy when he get old enough.
