Right on Chief, well I will probably try the one at hillsdale since thats where I have been fishing and camping the last three years. Havent been to any of the other lakes.
The only rule change we made on this years rules is that on the member teams points big fish is no longer an additional point. We might change the payout to 1 out of 4 if we have less than 10 boats that will be my decision, I'm undecided at this point. As far as the docks go it is only on the docks that have postings stating you have to stay a certain distance away from them. (example; Pomona Light House Bay Marina Docks) Thanks for the interest

One of the best ways to learn new lakes is tournaments. It also gives you a good chance at winning. No pre-conceived ideas about where the fish are. It happens all the time. And it gives you another lake to explore when Hillsdale has a poor bite or your tired of catching small fish. We would be glad to have you come to Hillsdale or any of our other tournaments. Thanks again for taking an interest hope we see you there and when you come be sure and tell us your name on crappie.com.
Chief that is an excellent point. May have to drag the camper and boat to a couple new places this year!!! Been thinking about that for a while this may be the nudge I needed!
COME ON ghinshaw my first year at trying it also. went to one late last year. had a blast. we wont talk about how big of fish i didnt catch. but atleast i have a bunch of 10"fish. only good fish i had died. looking forward to meeting you and the others as well. i dont know many of the lakes either. found if you just let a few of them know you have never been there they are very helpfull. if that dont work bring a kid with you. then they are always helpfull. thanks greg for all your work.
it talks about a memebership, but i cant find that anywhere to join/pay membership?

Love that idea Ragnar. Need to find a kid that will be entertained in the boat all day!
Don, when you sign up for a tourney you can join the points race also.I think it was 25 bucks for the membership. Then you can qualify to fish the classic that way.Sarah and I will only be able to fish a couple but we will get the good info and you guy's can team up and follow us around!

Life is good today.
The membership fee is $25 per member. So a team cost $50. 90% of membership fees are paid back at the Classic. You do not have to be a member to fish the classic but you do have to pay a penalty of an additional $75 to enter the tournament. You can mail me a check. send to:

I'd like to fish in several of these this year, but I'm not familiar with the specifics of where you launch from, etc. Where should I be watching for updates and more details? Is this the best place? Thanks in advance.
would any body be interested in a short non-denominational workship service before we launch. (prayer-song or two-communion if wanted-short lesson) if so please let me know. we could easily meet before launch and leave everybody time to get ready after words. thinking maybe a total of 20minutes or so..
