Someone on the Louisiana Board alerted the folks to check this thread on the Kansas Board. What a contrast with fishing down south. Great photos and I bet it was fun with no wind and the quiet snow falling. I used to live in Maine for many years before coming back home, so know how neat those days can be.

Anyway, my Kansas friend "Ron" from Leavenworth is on the road today and will be here in the Florida panhandle tomorrow for a 'snowbird' visit of several weeks. This will be our 4th winter fishing together and this year we are switrching primarily to salt water. Crappie fishing has been terrible for past couple of years in the rivers I fish.

Well, I went out with my son and another buddy that morning.
We beat youse guys, we had our limit at about 10:35 a.m.
Only difference was we were goose hunting....LOL

You look a little cold in the pictures, but Lee looks like he popped for a heated spacesuit of some sort !
I heard you retired guys have all the money, but Obama's comin' after all you 1%'ers....he said so.

It was a good day goose huntin', low visibility, you could hear'em before you saw e'm, which makes for exciting anticipation.
They showed up about 200 yards out, locked in, some even landed in the decoys and strolled around...

Glad you had a good day,
    Your buddy,

    Fishwalton,

Take good care of my buddy Ron while he's down there.
I don't know if he remembers how to cast a line out away from the boat anymore he's so used to fishin' straight down.
He won't know how to fish down there in Florida unless you can find him some "saltwater brushpiles".....LOL
