Big Hill Report
Newbie here.... and my wife will vouch that I have been bitten by the crappie gremlin. I have been fishing and camping at Big Hill the last 5 or 6 years but this year really made an effort to fill up the freezer with crappie and nothing but crappie. Wanted to let some people know that we have some quality crappie down here in SEK. I caught well over 50 in about a four hour span near the bridge. Started with minnows and caught a few but while waiting for the crappie to find my minnows I decided to jig it and WHAM. The biggest one was almost 13", and had several at a little over 12". Most of the others were 10-11". Thank you BG Love Bug. There was a about an hour of that which was just flat insane. Water temperature was right around 52 and the weather was perfect. Plan on going again tomorrow (wed).
