    Default Glen Elder????

    Hi Crappie Peeps!!!

Taking the Boy up to the Glen this weekend... is it On and Kicking there OR are we gonna spend a bunch of time praciticing our casting technique? Super excited to get out and SLAY 'EM. Every time I see somebody posting pics of their fun day at the lake or showing a fryer full o' fish, I get a little more jealous.

I don't know about Glen but most of the lakes around here are kicking into full post spawn pattern. Brush and breaks in 12 to 20 ft of water. Should be able to start trolling cranks for them here in the next week or two once they start chasing shad.
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

Fishing has been good at Glen Elder. Crappie are being caught over the brush piles. Walleye are being caught around the horseshoe from a boat. We have been fishing off the bank and doing very well. The catfish have been caught in the lake. A little early yet from the banks.

Glen is on fire. I fished last Friday with Chatt we caught a ton and kept nothing under 12 inches. I pulled crankbaits the next day for Walleyes and could not keep the Crappie off of my plugs. It was well worth the four hour drive.

    Still true yesterday!
All lakes raise a foot when I step in the boat

WELL... that was one HECK of a windy weekend @ the Glen. We did alright, mainly catching scattered fish. Seems the best that we did was on the Dam. Walking it we landed 8 or 9 nice crappie, 2 keeper walleye and my buddies kid nailed a HOG of a striper... 19" and 4 lbs. The filets on the beast... can you say STEAKS? Finally that wind got the best of us
