    Default Question

Does any one have any idea what all of this rain will do to the crappie. I fish eldo, fall river, and Toronto. I have only been fishing crappie for a little over a year. If I'm correct I think rising water an lower water temps will push them back out to deeper water. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Looks like El Dorado has already risen ~1ft, FallRiver and Toronto have both risen ~6ft each.

Somewhere I've heard the analogy that when fish go to the beds in the spring, and weather disrupts their activities , they will leave the bed but not the bedroom.

I am not sure where fishingtim looks for the area lake levels but I always use the corps site. You can find it here, Corps Lakes Gateway: Kansas

Just click on lake levels and it will give you the details from that morning.

Here is one looking three days forwards in the KC District.

For Southeast Kansas lakes I like these sites.

    Big Hill
    Big Hill Lake

    Elk City Lake
    Elk City Lake

    Fall River
    Fall River Lake

    Toronto
    Toronto Lake

    Council Grove
    Council Grove Lake

Or just play around on the Tulsa District site
Tulsa District Water Control Home Page

From here just click on the green triangles for the lake you are interested in.
Verdigris River Basin in the Tulsa District

I think the Tulsa District site is better than the KC District site. Its probably because my simple mind likes pictures.
