Thread: Headed out to Hillsdale for first time ever this weekend

At the 4 way stop in Hillsdale there is two gas stations, Rands and Lake N dale. They both sell minnows. Good luck and dont fish within casting distance of an old guy in a red lund... Rofl

We like folk useing our local business. The Winebolds there are nice folk. Might check out K@N Bar B Que couple blocks north for some pretty decent food, believe its the same folks that own Lake and Dale. Can't speak to the minnow counts at either place, seen good and bad in both places over the years. Good Luck.

Thanks guys. I am the type of person that if Im going to go somewhere to fish I have no problem giving the local shops some business. Heck, thats what their there for. We will have to check out the Bar b que place too. Since we'll be spending pretty much the whole day over that way, we'll have to stop to eat. Cuz us big ol boys gotta eat!

We ended up going to Cabelas and Avid archery on Sat. I purchased the Humminbird 597 ci hd di and when we got to the house I installed it onto the tracker replacing the original humminbird that was on it since 99. We headed out to Hillsdale on Sun and hit quite a few brush piles and flooded timber but didn't catch anything. For a first timer at a big body of water I really don't expect to catch much, just to get out and get some scouting in for the next time. Anyways it was an awesome day to be on the lake, so to me, it was a good day even without catchin a thing.
