That is exactly what I discovered yesterday and at a different lake further south! They would pick it up, swim sideways and make about 2 inches of slack line. The big one and dinks all "hit" same way. Quit using no-stretch since I was missing so many "bites". 4-6# mono landed 95 % of the fish. About a 4:1 dink:keeper ratio.

eatmore, I use the power pro stuff and I feel it give me a better feel when fish just pick the jig up, why do you think mono out did the no stretch stuff? Maybe I need to have a mono rig in the boat. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Almost Dan, actually I roll it up and put it on a 1/64 head. Gets them them little boogers every time.
Mono only here, I'm not flying a kite. Maybe just to old school, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Plus it's to hard on my teeth. You know when I'm sampling them boogers.

Not sure what is going on, but we have had similar times like this on walleye. A few summers ago we were fishing vertical on a rock pile and Cousin Jim was right next to me but could not get a sniff, so he tied on some 4# mono and commenced to help us land our limit of walleye.
Last Thursday I wasn't gettin many "sensations" P-Pro, almost all the action was on mono. So I took off the jig/bait from my P-Pro put it onto the mono and the jig/bait from the mono to the P-Pro and starting getting sensations and hookups ---- on the mono. The sensation "bite is very similar to prepared-bait cat bite, but even lighter.
Looking forward to some real thumps again..........

Maybe me 2 . . .was always a mono guy but went to Power Pro couple years ago, really like it, think I can feel the bump better. My son likes mono better, can't talk him into PP and sometimes he seems to have better bite than me. What works better? Who knows??? Only the fishiesss and they're not Talking.
