    Default Jig Heads

Does anyone know where to get painted Jig Heads for a good price in large batches.

I have used Everhearts in Clinton but those jigs are just not very good quality so I have stopped using them. Any advise on them would be great. I am not very good at catching fish so I loose a lot of jigs.
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

I have bought a lot of un-painted jigs from Grandpa Bobs up in Ohio....He turns them quick and you have unlimited options....he has the sickle hooks and I am a fan of those....really good prices....i buy the powder paint and paint all of my jig heads right at the gas stove.....takes no time to paint up 50-100 at a time.

Here is his website : Grandpa Bobs Custom Jigs

Yes, if you have the time to paint them Duckman, I know we bought a bunch of unpainted ones at Rogers up there in Liberty. They were I believe $8.99 for 100. I grabbed a bag of 16th/8th and 1/4oz. I can't remember if they have painted in big bags like that or not. You may try calling them and see what they have available.

Crappie Pro heads are great, Give Larry Russell a call and I bet he can fix you up on a bulk order painted or not. Another good one if you like the sickle hooks is Paul with P&S Custom Tackle and he's a CDC business as well, look for him in the buis. directory.

If you've got the time, painting your own is super easy. In the long run, it's way cheaper than buying pre-painted ones. If you have questions about painting your own, give me a shout.
I've gotten some jigs from Rogers as well, but wasn't impressed with their quality. I get my jigheads from Crazy Angler, but they are just ballhead without a barb for plastics.

Thanks for the info guys. If I have time to paint jig heads then I plan on using that to hunt some geese or drill some holes in the ice or get the boat out. So i am 100% in on buying them ahead of time.

I get mine from Minnesota Bait in KCK. Unpainted 1/4 are $6.99/100. I paint them myself. Lot cheaper that way.

I'd sure like to know where he gets his supplies cause I buy my hooks at Wholesale prices by the 1000's and with the price of lead these days, NO WAY could I make 100 1/4oz jigs for that price.
HuskerLand is the name, custom jigs are the game!
