good job men!
Met the Chattster at Fall River this morning we actually put in at the river and not the lake. Caught some very nice fish, but not very many of them. The fish were relating to timber in the middle of the river and not the timber that is closet to the bank (Jigs). Water clarity was very good, I was impressed and will be back to give the river a shot on another day.
Next we headed to Woodson State Lake outside of Yates City. We got on a pile by the dam broke out the Kentucky Rigs and commenced to puttin' on a clinic. We literally caught fish every time we dropped in (minners), this would be a great lake to take Mama and the kids. We put the hammer down on the 8-9 inch fish. Keepers are hard to come by in that lake. The lake is nice and you will probably be all alone, we were the only boat on the lake. No wake lake, limit is 10 with a 10 inch limit.
Pics of a few of the Fall River Hogs, they were released to fight another day!
good job men!
Outstanding. That river and resevoir can be challenging to pry the fish from in the warmer months so great job finding them in the middle of the river. Finding fish in the middle for me is challening because all the false feedback on the sonar. Here is a 16" fish I pulled from FR Memorial day weekend. Fishing was slow for me however the schooling drum bite was hot.
I agree with you on fishing Woodson with kids. It is a fun lake for catching. I am sure there must be pigs around that lake somewhere.
LIFE’S TOO SHORT TO FISH WITHOUT BEER
nice fishes chatt must be puttin peroxide on that beard sure is gettin light?
We shoulda took up a collection and got some of that stuff that darkens your beard for Chattster. But then he wouldn't look like the wise ol slab catcher.
great fish! Question though I've never been to that ramp on the river.......is it a good ramp? somebody told me it's really steep but like I said, I've never been there. Is there a dock also?
The ramp is steep and there is no dock however the river is fairly deep there so not much of an issue picking people up off the ramp. You do not want to use it if there has been recent rain. The parking lot is mainly dirt that turns to mud, and the ramp can be covered with mud as well.

We launched Chatt's 19'5 boat with no problem and pulled it out with ease. I can see the ramp and parking being a problem after a rain. It's steep but not extremely steep.
Don't be scared of it unless it has recently rained that's when you might have a problem.
Nice slabs!Looks like you guy's had a fun time.
good looking fish, nice to see y'all gettin a mess.
