    Default Coffey County Lake 6/13

Two of us hit the water at 7:00 am. We started out pitching tube jigs and curly tail jigs on points in the drizzle. Didn't have much luck so after awhile we went to the rock pier using the same baits. Didn't have much luck there either. We switched to Ned Rigs and caught 24 smallies with a few nice ones mixed in. Then we went to our walleye spot and used worm harness's. No walleye but caught the biggest smallie and a 20" wiper. The whites started surface close to use so we grabbed our jigs and headed for them. We caught about 30 whites and a few wipers while they were busting the top. This lasted on and off for about 40 minutes. They were puking up baby shad that were maybe an inch long. After they went down for good we went back to looking for walleye. Tried several different crankbaits, jig & worm and spinner rigs on several places we've caught them in the past. This was the third time I'm fished this lake this year and have yet to see a walleye. It's been a tuff year for the walleye on this lake for me this year.

Wonder why the walleye are hard to find. I love going there to fish for walleyes.
    .Thanks for the great report.

That lake is just off this year. I've caught one. 2 years ago on June 14 I boated 40+ by myself before noon. Part of me wonders how many people keep walleye under the minimum length limit. It has been like this before. I think 5 years ago we had it similar to this.

There was a real nice Walter caught on a spinnerbait just trolling behind the boat last week in 25-30' of water. You can read the full report here if you scroll down a bit
