I use Wal-Mart batteries, have not had any problem with them. Believe the are full warranty for the first year.
I'm looking to replace my trolling motor batteries and would like to know what the best "free replacement for XX months" battery would be. I am looking at getting (2) group 31 batteries.
I think Interstate is 12months.

My charger seems to be boiling batteries for some reason. Maybe it's the extension cord. I have to unplug it after it's done charging. I've had Wal-Mart batteries, crown deep cycle batteries, and agm(short lived) before.
I use 12v golf cart batteries, they last for yrs

What kind of a charger are you using? I doubt the extension cord is the problem. If you think that is ruining your batteries I'd look to replace it first. I have a MK 330 charger and it works great just leave it plugged in year round and regulates the charge for you. The 2 batteries on my trolling motor are from 2007 (Energizer 29's). My rectifier went out on my boat a few years back and ruined my cranking battery (boiled it over) a 2007 battery so I replaced it with an Interstate then found out it was the rectifier that ruined the battery because it ruined my brand new Interstate too. I believe they are 12 months now used to be 18 any way got a warranty interstate but changed the rectifier before installing. If a battery is treated right it should last 6 years no problem regardless of brand name. I run group 29's on an 80# Terrova and can fish 2 solid days on a charge if needed.
If you batteries are boiling then most likely the chargers are not working right.
Wal Mart Batterys are rebuilt and so are Advance auto I got a new diehard from Kmart for my little round boat.
Golf cart batterys are good but they are heavy.
