    Default White Perch predators

Found out that shad aren't the only thing that big walleye feed on at El Dorado this weekend. We had this ~4" white perch floating in our livewell after putting a nice 23" eye in it.

    Nice going!
Had the same thing happen to me before. Just shows that they will eat big crankbaits and fishing with a worms is like just feeding them a small snack. Sometimes they are only in the mood for one or the other.

What's wild is when a 4" perch hits a 3" crankbait. We did catch another 18" walleye with a smaller fish (2 or 3") hanging out of it's mouth. Not sure what it was as it was pretty eaten up (either a smaller perch or last years shad)...and wanted to get it back to grow a few inches for next year.
