get a water proof case that floats way to cool, I can take underwater pics with mine, so they say never tried it but case seems indestructible. LIFEPROOF.com

Verizon back up assistance is great. it uploads onto your new phone and updates every night. Saved my but several times since I have over 500 contacts saved, would have taken me weeks to input them all over again
