man that's some pretty butt
Lake was too rough for me today so I decided to do other things.
Makers Mark and Molasses injected pork butt. Rubbed with spices and apple sauce then Slow smoked over Pecan hulls.
10hrs later, Pecan smoked....Pork butt is out of the smoker, just falling apart. Makers Mark BBQ sauce also done after 4hrs in smoker, started with 64oz of sauce and reduced down to 40oz, thick and sticky.....now let it all rest over night and tomorrow the pulled pork and cold beer feed is on for NASCAR
While I waited I began work on (ok playing) some old beat up lures I picked up very cheap. Bandit 300, Crappie Maxx, and Bomber A's. I figured I would refinish and paint them. Took the hooks off, sanded them, then taped them off and then painted with primer. I will let them completely dry over night then start airbrushing the colors and graphics I want. Thinking of adding red hooks back on them as some of the hooks I removed were in poor shape.
man that's some pretty butt
Lookin good, Pork and lures both. Enjoy!
Man now I'm hungry and I've already had supper!! I think you're already ahead of the learning curve on "lure" painting....those look deadly for crappies and walleys.....you sure make me realize i need to do more with my non-fishin time....great job!
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS & FISHING...... hopefully in that order but honestly, not always!
Wow! Those baits look really awesome! I bet I could hold up a picture of that bottom one at Wabaunsee, and fish would jump in the boat!
I am just pullin' your leg.:D
Kag, good thing ya was out of my 'smellin' area!! Dat would have me runnin' towards ya faster than a 'called' yotie! <*)}}}><
You'll see the difference,,,on the end of your line! PROUD MEMBER OF TEAM GEEZER
Looks good enough to eat, both the pork and the baits, good job on both.
Thanks.....
Been a busy few days.
I took the day off today to make a run out to Glen Elder to get a Shade Top put on that I ordered. Rained all the way there and all the way back. The top should help dramatically as that sun just roasts me out trolling in the summer time.
Thinking of mounting some of those smaller Halogen lights to the frame for night fishing
Who made your shade? Been looking for one to put on my boat, but all I have is a single console G3 so I am not sure how you would secure it at the front.
