    Default Brim busters

Had some banana jigs hanging around and decided to try something to use on brim,,,,i powder coated the bodies a candy red and used some black foxtail over on top,,,,whatchA think,,,will they attract brim maybe? Almost look like a lighting bug….not sure if that’s a good or bad thing with brim….

Man I have some of those jig heads laying around in my box. I may do the same thing you just done. I find bluegill like anything that look like a bug and those are killer.

Don’t even have to tie,,,just glue on top lightly. Put shrink tube around it and heat very lightly around jig so you won’t burn the hair,,,it takes practice, but I promise it can be done,,,,I even powder coated the banana jig first to give it color,,,silver one is disco silver body and black was done in a candy red….shrink tube I used was 1/8”. Buy it on eBay by the roll,,,like $13.00 for 100 ft…

Trick is not to burn the hair,,,I bet boiling water might shrink it better without burning the hair,,, my finger took a lot of those first tries,, But one I did it to ensure hair not to pull out ,I glued around the e dis of the shrink tubing and lightly on the hair to keep things together nicely,,,I had overhand of shrink tubing as well around eyelet, but a very sharp knife went around the tubing easily and it pulled off clean

Tip it with waxworm, maggot, crappie nibble, or scent stick by Slabanator and you better use a counter so you don't go over your limit!
