And if the right size is used, it can be used for hundreds of jigs....just sayin'

And it’s really not much work other than cut a piece, place on eye of hook and then pull off when done. Takes a few seconds.

Yep I ran out of shrink tube a while back and thought I would just go old school. Well after cleaning those up I made the 40 mile trip to get more tubing. Cleaning the eye is way more hassle and time than tubing them.
Thank you for the tip, I'm going to have to try it.
Where I get mine. 100’ $8 shipped. Last forever. Also have 3/32 for when I need a little bigger.

Okay, you have me intrigued, how does one use shrink tubing on a jig for dipping into powder paint?
Does that work if you heat a large number of jigs in a toaster oven?
Cut the tubing into quarter inch lengths, Slip it over top of the eye of the hook. Now go wild applying the paint. When done, remove the tubing exposing a clean hook eye. I do a pinch and pull movement. Then bake the jigs to finish the process.
I imagine it would work if you use an oven, don’t really know. I do know leaving them on for the bake, after they have been dipped into paint, is not a good idea.
My new roll will be here March 17th- Thanks Dr Nip. That is an excellent source. I had previously ordered white from Amazon, but black might work better. The price is definitely better.
Maybe they will bite this one……
