Thanks and kind of what I was thinking in the back of my mind. I seem to remember someone telling me they used Polar Bear Hair and this confirm's that! Maybe I need to use some of this Polar Bear I have and see what happens as I have a good many colors of it that was dyed by the guys I bought it from.

I dyed a few pieces but had to be careful of the hide - some of it cracked pretty good. When I try again I may use the cold dye method and just let it sit longer, I just picked up 3 new dyes - Blue Dun, Slate Dun and Olive. Some of the guys who sent me feathers last year have started sending me more, and since I have to put them through the cleaning process they'll be nice and wet to go in the dye. Stay Tuned!!

I have seem some tied with polar bear when I was young but then they changed the short bucktail around here in the 70's.
Still one of the best jigs ever and have caught more fish than I will ever see.

I guess I stand to be corrected but the only thing I seem back when I was a kid was marabou wraps it was by a different manufacture like I said Polson cascade I guess I should've researched more before I made any statements but I'm only going by what I seen.

I had quite a few of those made with Polar Bear hair. They were in a box that got wet and you know how they looked when I found them. A big loss to me. Last one I remember fishing was on a rip rap bank and using a 4lb UL rig. The strike sticks out, it was like a freight train. 12lb catfish kept me busy for a good while. I caught a good many fish on them.
