    Default emerald shiner chenille

I have a question for ya'll. Is there any difference between crazy's gray pearl chenille and grandpa bobs emerald shiner other than the size? I have crazy's gray pearl and love it, but have read a lot about people raving about the emerald shiner, in pics they look the same to me. I am all about gray because some of the lakes I fish, gray is a hot color.

Ok, I got an answer on this from somewhere else, they are the same. I haven't fished it yet but to me it is the cats meow. It has a black thread in the center which I really think was smart, and there is some green mylar mixed in there, I know from using the minner color that those green highlights really sparkle when they are in the water. I need some of grandpa bobs size 2 also as the size 3 from crazy is really full and could even be used on a 1/8 head.

Actually all these guys change the names or give them names, like when someone started calling chenille with Crystal in it or more than one color with crystal by New Age Chenille. It's all just stuff Danville makes and they give it a name so no one knows what it really is. Most of my chenille I don't give names, just what colors are in it. I did give my Baitfish it's name, but that was because of the colors that show up in it. Now I will tell you that Crazy Angler has some others so not have because he actually orders some of his and then he dyes them after he has them which then it makes them very special. One example is his Texas Toast, no one has it but him and there are others like that with him. So not all is always equal, but most of the time it is!

    Will also send a PM.

Yes and wonder who made it, LOL! Other than Cactus, Estaz, Ultra Chinelle, Ice Chenille, Crystal Antron and a few others that some carry, Danville makes all of the most popular Chinelle including the New Age Chenille!

the only one I know of that changes the looks after buying it is some of Crazy Angler's colors like Texas Toast! I know he had a few others that are only found there! I wanted some Texas Toast so I ordered what it was made from and it didn't look right at all! That is when I found out Robert dyes that after he gets it so I paid him to dye mine, LOL! I really didn't want to try the dying thing on 2 skeins of size 10 Crystal! So if you see something you like at Crazy Angler, get it and just remember you may not find it any other place!

I wish everyone used Danville's sizing chart or just overall width in MMs. Some use MMs , others S, M & LG ( or Spanish) and others just assign a number to it. It does seem to be an intentionally deceptive sales tactic.

It would be very nice if they did use that size chart, but would need to expand it some. Maybe I can help a little with that for you. Danville's size #12 Crystal is 14 MM so when you see Cactus chenille for example it's like 15 MM for the large. I can also tell you that Estaz Standard size is 15 MM. The Grande Estaz is 30 MM. Some I really can't help with because I didn't dig the info out on some that I don't use or use very little. You can always PM me for questions when they come up, but just know sometimes I may not look very fast because I am busy so just have some patience. Also know and you may well already know this, but some chenille is thicker on the cotton than others and I mean Danville's Crystal or even their regular colors without changing or comparing to another brand. Some brands are thicker on the cotton just because the kind of materials it is being used.

I do know many time you will see small Med and Large like especially on Crystal Antron and with that stuff the Med is probably what you want for a normal jig, but if 1/32 or smaller you want the small and if really large jigs then the large is pretty fat stuff.
