I surely love your creativity you could even make a cutter to cut tube skirts.
Finally found 2 packages of double edge razor blades and bored today so made a new Zonker strip cutter with them, with the extra length of the screws I may check around work in the gun room and see if there are any scraps I can use for handles.

Then I made 2 smaller ones - one is made from old style curtain hanging brackets
and the other is made out of the container that the mini box cutter blades came in - will only cut 2 strips at a time

Really nice looking cutters! Being I am on blood thinners and have been for 15 years I will keep buying one already cut, LOL! I don't need to make a mistake! Shame because I do have some hide that could be cut, but most of mine is already cut. Have quite a few whole hides already cut into strips.
Matter of fact I have some new colors I have not tied yet, but will soon.

Used needle nose pliers to put the double edged blades on!!LOL Still working on how to dye up some hide pieces so they don't get brittle!! That's one thing on the youtube video he doesn't tell how he did it!!! and now his channel and site are closed down.
After diying befor they dry work the hide on on a buck board or the edge of a 2x4 till dry. If it`s raw hide tan if first or it will stiffen up.
Don't have a way to make video's - but if you look at this thread you can see how I clamp them to the table and what they look like hanging there
