    Default Critique pleased

First time tying a hackle jig. Body needs work and probably a bigger chenille.
Let me know what I need to do with it.
    Thanks

The tail and flash looks good. I will agree that the body is a little thin.

The body looks to be wrapped using size 0 chenille. You can double wrap the body by start wrapping the chenille at the head, work back to the hook point then over wrap back to the head then tied off the chenille. Or you can use size 2 or size 3 chenille on the bigger jigs above a 1/64 oz jig.

Jig looks good, and the advise to double wrap is solid too. You could also take another color and twist the two together and use them together to create more bulk. Even one regular and one flashy would give a good effect. The hackle looks good, keep after it.

Yeah it's ultra chenille. Wasn't at the store today to get another chenille off the rack. Wanted to try it so used this anyway.

Other than the body is there anything else I can do to improve?

Only thing I see is the feather is off to the side, work on keeping it centered on the hook, Hope that makes sense.

Get some Nylon FL Red chinelle size #2 if your gonna tie 1/16 and smaller, but if 1/16 and larger probably #3 size.

i can't really see the picture well enough to say much on this iPad, but if your using the little V's just put them so they are on top the tip. I lay the tip down and stack 2 or 3 V's on top, pinch them together and to in. If your doing that then good, if not try that.

Colors you picked are fine and look good. Just larger chinelle and the Nylon FL Red will let it be easier to make the body more level all around.

Buckeyekdog, it actually is laying straight. It does look off in the picture but it is straight. Must be something with the angle of the camara?
Skiptomylu, I only laid one v on. I'll try adding more. Also plan to get some pearl chenille off the rack at my retail store tomorrow to try. I knew the ultra chenille was too small but the only other I had on hand was variegated in colors that wouldn't have worked with the chartreuse.
Anything else I need to improve on?
Oh and sorry for the pic. Cell phone camara.
