could try ultra fine #0000 grade steel wool if that don't work replace them they need to be re-chromed/ painted and it is easier most of the time replacing them. unless they are antique quality tackle then try brightening them with the steel wool. we used the steel wool to polish truck bumpers that are chromed mite work for you? or could try a mag rim / chrome polish. see if that works on a rag like mothers brand car polish or even tooth paste then wash the paste off... i find the tooth paste more abrasive then the #0000 grade steel wool on chrome but maybe that's me? by the way if they are antique tackle from your father etc...etc.. leave them alone put them in a drawer and forget about them for another 100 years cause some times there worth more left alone then fooled with.. fooling with them wrecks the patina or old tarnished effect on lures... and lake them worth less then if not fooled with.....
