Should watch my video on cutting feathers and use the little V's I have talked about on here for years. I am not sure where the link to my video is now, but maybe the slid show will be enough and that is in the sticky post at the top of the page.
Once I snip-out the tip of the hackle for my tails, I am left with these pieces -
I know that some people use that "V-cut" piece as a tail accent, but other than that
I don't know how to use them.
I hate to throw this material out, so I have been saving it, and now have quite a small
box full of it.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

I use the fluff on the quill for tail material on small jigs.
Strip the feather barbs from the stem and use them like hair to tie onto 1/64, 1/80 & 1/100 jigs. That is how I tie my most productive bluegill jigs. No chenille, just feathers.
Yep watch Skips video I still see a lot of usable material left there to used.

X2 lots more V's to cut!!
Skip at one time it was on You Tube. If I remember right. With age catching up with me remembering is getting harder. I will see if I got a copy that you sent me and post it if I can find it.

I added my YouTube page to the sticky post above about the Slide Show and the link is now just below the slide show link.
