    Default Rainey Morning ties

I tied a couple of dozen of each of these this morning while it was raining/snowing.

Hey guys, I like the jigs and other lures you are making, I will have to give these a try.
I have been tying flies for a few years and have tried to make my trout, bass, shad, and bluegill flies look like something the fish might eat. The lures I see here don't look like anything alive. Are crappies that agressive that they hit whatever is there? I'm not trying to put anyone down, just trying to understand.

I agree. When I am tying for bluegill or trout I try real hard to imitate something in nature. Midges, mayflies, etc.... for crappie I go for "pretty" Not sure why other than that is what seems to work. Caught crappie yesterday on white maribou with a little flash and a purple swirl head. Nothing in the lake I know of that looks like it, but the crappie liked it.
