Default Playing with some duck feathers

My son is a big duck hunter. I gathered up some feathers from some he got this past week mixed in a little artic fox and kip tail. Really just killing time playing around. Any thoughts or suggestions? I guess I am trying to imitate mayflies and grasshoppers.

It's a lot of fun to experiment with different kind of feathers! I know that is one of my things I enjoy.

Looks like they should work for you, but let us know how you do with them.

Nice ties - If he gets any wood ducks get the lemon barred flank feathers you can trade them, they're one of the mainstays for Catskill dry fly wings.

Just add a lake to them and you are set! Nice to have a hunter close by and have a chance to pull some feathers to tie with. Good luck.
