Yes, I do, I take a razor blade and cut the tie off and clean or repaint and re-tie

If the jig is really still in great shape and am more likely to do that to a Roadrunner that I sent off to get plated. Usually we have so much wood in this lake I will lose it before that though.

Guess I have a little scotchman in me but I redo jigs all the time that have been torn up. I too will repaint and retie. With some of my older jigs I repaint with powder. Most of the time I will repaint with black or dark blue. Saves me some money.Lols But we are like Skip I lose more than get torn up. Offerings to the river and lake Gods.

i guess i don't only just fish with jigs.think i may have lost only 1 last year, thats all i can remember for now.maybe a year or 2 ago i lost a bit more jigs.i use power pro braided line on my poles,5 and 10 pound and its tough line with no stretch.if i get snagged on leaves or something like that i rip backwards and 9 times out of 10 i get a piece of broken tree branch back with my line and lure intact LOL.its like tree 0 me 1 hahaha.but if a pickerel gets hooked sometimes it will cut even power pro.thats how the one jig i remember got lost last year.also took the no knot hook snap i had the jig on too.i might have lost a few crankbaits last year, more than jigs.
