it allows for a more evener coat of powder...
OK, I made a fluid bed out of PVC, and it worked just like it was suppose to I think. My question is it didn't seem to do any better or easier than just heating you lead head and just dipping it into the jar of powder paint. What's the advantage? Just to let you know, I'm a rookie at this, as I've only powder painted <100 jigheads.

your paint should look like it is boiling when it it working right. you will get better coverage and a thinner layer of paint.
this will keep them from dripping when you cure them. also the thinner layer when cured will be much tuffer than a thicker layer. hope this helps
ok, it did look like it was boiling, so I guess I was doing it correctly. I really appreciate your feedback!
I'm just using a cheap pump i bought a wally world. I really didn't think it was putting out enough air at first, but it when I hooked it up, it seemed like it was moving the paint around pretty good. I did put a regulator on it at first and it didn't work out, so I attached it directly, and it worked fine. BTW, I wish I could post a picture, but I'm pretty dumb about that. Hopefully I learn how to post pics this winter. I'll need some major critiquing of my work. Right now my jigs look pretty primitive, but they do work, so I'm just trying to get better and have fun with it.
Best picture I had on my phone. Hope it helps
