Default Good Color Combos for Lake Lavon

Hey all! I'm new to the tying business. Does anyone have good color combos for Lake Lavon or other Dallas area lakes? Thanks!

WELCOME to the Jig Tying board, Tyerider132.
Bleeding Shad is a good color combo in any part of the country. Black and Chartreuse is another.

Thank you nightprowler!. I've tied a few in the blk/char combo, but nothing yet in bleeding shad. I'll have to try a few of those and see if I can get anything to bite!

Howdy from Deep East Texas. Be sure to do a search for Flash Ducks. They are simple to make and are a good fish getter. They are the ones that Junglejim ties. Now here is a post that has some basic jigs that are simple to tie and will catch fish in any lake in Texas. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/jig-t...ck-basics.html Also look in the stickys at the top of this forum under jig pictures. There are a lot of pictures of jigs made by a bunch of the Texas tiers that will work for you in the lakes that you fish.

Silver/wht/blk, wht/char/wht, blk, blk, char, silver/white/blu, pnk/char/pnk, wht/wht/wht & char/char/char all are proven catchers on Lavon. Orange, yellows & brown work good too in stained water.

Back when I fished Lavon, it was hard to beat "corn on the cob". Yellow body, white tail. Also blue/white was good.
