    Default Jig hooks

I am looking for some 90 degree hooks for my crappie jigs. What I am looking for is a thin wire hook that will straighten out when you get hung on a dock post. The sickle hooks i have been using are great but i break off a lot. Think of trying to do some with weed guard. Has anyone tried drilling a hole for a weed guard. Cub48

What size Sickles have you been using? You may try #6 sickles as to me they seem to bend easier than a #4.

Also if you just want a hook that is suppose to bend and get it back over and over the TTI-Blakemore hooks they use in their Roadrunners are suppose to do just that, but again #6 as I don't know about their others.

I have been using #4 sickle hooks love the hooks but I lose a lot. I bought some 80 LB mono thinking of trying to drill and putting a weed guard on some has anyone tried this. I will check on the lite wire eagle claw hooks. Cub48

    Default Weedless

Drilling and gluing works, but you can save yourself lots of time and headaches by having the light weight guard cast into the head. Then just trim the weed guard just past the hook point with scissors and your ready to conquer the nastiest brush piles. PM me if have any other question.
