Default Jelly type jig body material?

What is the material for the jelly looking jig bodies and where can I get some? I thought about using cut pieces of small diameter plastic worms, would that work?

Jelly looking is kind of a broad description. I use Larva Lace and body stuff for tying a lot of flies and jigs and it has a jelly look to it. If oyu are talking a larger bulkier material then most likely it is plastic worms cut up and tied in.

That is body stuff and larva Lace tied together for different looks on top and bottom.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
